Combination Wedding

Feel free to pick and choose from our wedding flower options according to what works best for you… mix and match The Flowerman’s Do-It-Yourself (DIY) and Full-Service Design options to create your own combination wedding!

Save yourself some stress and time by having our design team construct a few of the more difficult floral pieces for you (such as large altarpieces, multiple corsages, or your bridal bouquet), then stay involved and mix in a little DIY fun by making the rest of your wedding flowers yourself!  Think about what is holding you back.  If time is your biggest enemy, you may wish to construct only the fastest and easiest floral pieces for your Do-It-Yourself portion (such as pew flowers or multiple bags of petals for the aisle).  If a lack of craftiness is your worry, perhaps you could focus on constructing fairly repetitive and simple DIY pieces (such as bridesmaid bouquets or centerpieces).  If money is the biggest factor, you might concentrate on making items that provide the largest DIY cost-savings (such as boutonnieres and corsages).  Consider all your options… buy yourself some time and still stay within your budget with a customizable combination wedding.

Pictured below are some photos from a recent Flowerman Combination Wedding.  This couple and their wedding were actually featured in ”The Knot Weddings.”  The bride chose to have our design staff construct her bridal bouquet for her, and then she and a few friends came in to The Flowerman and constructed everything else themselves.  Be a savvy DIY bride… opt to mix and match!

The large size of this bridal party made saving money on flowers a must!  All of the boutonnieres for the men and bouquets for the girls were created with the help of our Do-It-Yourself team, while the bride’s beautiful bouquet was contructed by our Flowerman wedding design staff.

What a cute photo of the couple with their dog!

The bride’s designer-made bridal bouquet consisted of white hydrangea and multi-colored ranunculus and included an understated ring of green and white varigated pittosporum around the underside.

The bride chose to incorporate fine white feathers into her designer bouquet… so fun and feminine!

The bride’s dress was elegant and tasteful, featuring subtle details of lace and white trim.  Extra pieces from the dress were wrapped around the stems of the bridal bouquet, creating a seamless transition between dress and floral decor.

The groom and his men wore classy gray suits, rather than traditional tuxedos, which was wise given Ohio’s summer heat and the wedding’s outdoor venue.

Here the groom holds the bridal bouquet, making for a very sweet photo.  The groom’s bout, as well as all of the groomsmen’s boutonnieres, were DIY-made and constructed of a unique yellow flower called “billy balls” (craspedia).

Every one of these Do-It-Yourself bridesmaid bouquets was made with a different flower, and they were all in different colors to match the bride’s ecclectic bouquet.  Each bouquet featured a base of varigated pittosporum, which was also incorporated into the bridal bouquet, creating a sense of unity and tying all of the pieces together.

What a beautiful and intimate outdoor ceremony!

These pew flowers and bows were all constructed by the bride and her friends with the help of our DIY wedding staff.

So simple and chic!  The centerpieces were all Do-It-Yourself construction and featured white ranunculus with seeded eucalyptus.

Another look at one of the DIY centerpieces.  The bride provided her own vases, purchased from IKEA, and the family was able to save money and use the vases again for another wedding the following season!

The various Do-It-Yourself bridesmaid bouquets sat on display across the front of the head table.

The pink, orange, white, and yellow bridesmaid flowers coordinated nicely with the various colors in the bridal bouquet.  Flowers from left to right:  yellow calla lilies, orange asiatic lilies, hot pink gerbera daisies, and antique-pink “esperance” roses.
