Very well organized and super easy to use, this site will serve all of your wedding favor needs! (One of our personal favorites from this site is the “Natural Bamboo Eco-Friendly Coaster Favor”… quite practical and simple, yet very elegant and tasteful.) Cupcakes are a playful and practical alternative to the traditional wedding cake, offering both fun and functionality. Think about it: guests can easily help themselves, you don’t have to worry about your cake collapsing on the car ride over or as a result of the heat, there’s no need to spend time or energy cutting and serving the cake, they’re super cute (!!), and cupcakes are bound to taste better because they don’t have to be tough enough to withstand the cake-making process. Inspiration boards are all the rage in wedding planning right now, and their name describes them perfectly… a board of collected images that inspire you. The purpose of an inspiration board is to create cohesion across every aspect of your wedding. Brenda’s Wedding Blog has more personally-created inspiration boards than pretty much any site we’ve seen out there, and all of Brenda’s boards are very pretty. Is there a kitchen on site? How should we handle the kids at our wedding? Are there any wedding dates we should avoid? What should I look for in a photographer? There’s no end to the priceless information you can learn from Kelly. Read through her “Planning Tips” archives and learn a wealth of wedding information!
We couldn’t have described Wedding Mapper better ourselves… the site has a ”full suite of planning tools [which] includes the industry’s first interactive and customizable wedding map as well as free wedding websites, a vendor manager, guest manager and personalized planning notebook.” The free seating chart feature is particularly neat, allowing brides to keep track of the guest list, RSVP’s, meal choices, gifts and thank you cards, and create a custom layout of the reception hall for a seating chart. Once again, Martha Stewart Weddings captures our attention… this time with a colorful collection of 50 favorite stationery sets from real weddings. Each one is unique and lovely in its own way. Some are fun and flirty, a few are classically elegant and vintage-inspired, and many others are colorful and crafty. One thing’s for sure, they’re all creative and feature that famous Martha Stewart style!
With This Ring is a pretty wedding blog, featuring a lot of Do-It-Yourself wedding projects. A recent bride herself, the author has a lot of recent and relevant information to share with DIY brides everywhere! We especially love the paper lanterns, tea towel aprons, and inexpensive centerpiece ideas she has to share! Have fun getting crafty…
Create lovely “Save the Date” cards (or any type of cards, actually) through Pingg’s free website service. Choose a pretty picture from Martha Stewart’s image gallery, or make it more personal and upload one of your own! Send out “Save the Date” e-cards to your friends and family through the Internet, or choose the “print” option to have Pingg stamp and address the postcards for you and have them mailed directly to your guests. Regardless of what option you choose, we think Pingg is a fun way to let your loved ones know that you’ve set a date!
This site features some very pretty tabletops! We especially love the “Golden Nights” and ”Polished Style” looks. Very chic! One cool thing about this site is that it allows you to purchase nearly all of the items featured in these various tabletop styles. One bad thing is that the supplier is based in England, and we’re pretty sure you’d have to pay extra to bring those pretty items all the way across the Atlantic. But no matter, the tabletops are still beautiful and worth a look. This site also features a very nice gallery called “Real Weddings” that should also be checked out!

This site is just a lot of fun! Bighugelabs.com actually has dozens of interesting applications for manipulating photos, but we Flowerman peeps chose to focus on one wedding-worthy app that really is great… the Color Palette Generator! Inspiration boards are a huge bridal trend these days, and they’re really fun to make. Why not draw the colors for your wedding from a favorite inspiration board?! We constructed our own inspiration board of pretty cupcake images, and then used it to generate a lovely color palette for our big day. Perhaps you could create a few different palettes from several of your favorite inspiration boards and then stick to the colors that are generated most frequently… then you’ll know you’re making the right wedding color choice!
Having trouble making decisions for your wedding? Why not ask Hunch what it thinks?! Type in your question, pick a relevant topic, answer Hunch’s short list of questions on the subject, and then review the results it picks for you. Why not ask Hunch what wedding dress you should buy? Perhaps check what gift it thinks you should give to your bridesmaids. Try seeing where it suggests for your dream honeymoon. Maybe even ask it what store you should use for your gift registry. Here at The Flowerman, we decided to test the waters… just to see if Hunch really knows its stuff. We asked Hunch what color palette would be best for our wedding, and it produced several questions for us about our personality. Then, it gave us “hunches,” or suggestions, which we further refined. Surprisingly enough, it really did give us our favorite colors!
