Here at The Flowerman, we love to make our brides happy.  Plus, it helps that we love brides!  Would you believe that we attended a professional seminar a few months back where the keynote speaker actually informed us that he charges brides $1,500 just to sit down and have a consultation with him (which lasts a minimum of three hours), and he doesn’t even let the brides choose their own flowers!!!  We couldn’t believe it… what kind of service is that?!?  Also, he stated quite emphatically that he doesn’t even like brides!  He’d rather they go somewhere else because he doesn’t want to deal with their complicated demands.  What a shame!  But we have to admit that his comments actually made us smile a bit on the inside… hooray, more brides for us!!!  Go ahead and drive away your prospective customers, Mr. Big Shot Fancy Floral Man… we’ll take as many of them as we can because we love weddings and we love brides!  Plus, we never charge our brides a single penny for their consultations and they can choose whatever flowers they want.   Take that!

We thought you might enjoy seeing some pictures from one of our Columbus brides, Amanda M., who was kind enough to send pictures to us of her recent wedding.  She was a Do-It-Yourself bride at our new location in Columbus this past summer.  Her wedding took place at the beautiful Darby House in Galloway.  Lovely!  🙂

Two of the bridesmaids work on boutonnieres.

Amanda’s younger sibling shows off his boutonniere.  🙂

The bridesmaids begin work on their bouquets.

Amanda works on her bridal bouquet, while a friend looks on.

A look at the completed bouquet… red gerbera daisies and green hypericum berries.

A look at the bouquet’s ribbon… white satin with a thin black corset.  Great touch!

The bride with her completed DIY bouquet.  Great job, Amanda!  🙂

One of Amanda’s bridesmaids works on a centerpiece… red and white gladiolus, submerged underwater in one of The Flowerman’s beautiful convex vases.  You can rent these vases from our wedding team.

Our thanks to Amanda for sending us these photos, and to her photography company, MELEE, for giving her the rights to share.

Found this quote today in Better Homes and Gardens magazine.  Thought it was very true!  “You don’t need a lot of flowers to make an impact.  It’s all about taking a couple of elements and making them showstopping!”
